Meet our guest speaker: Hossein Eslami Amirabadi<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>Dr. Hossein Eslami Amirabadi<\/a> has been working with organs-on-chips since 2013. His passion is to enable biomedical scientists to use New Approach Methodologies (NAMs) more efficiently. As a world-leading organ-on-a-chip consultant, Hossein is passionate about making organ-on-a-chip technology available, including by making it translatable from academia to industry.<\/p>\nHossein is a co-founder of AZAR Innovations and ARTIC Technologies, and serves on the board of directors of the 3Rs Collaborative in the United States.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Be part of this transition and keep challenging the status quo, only then will we realise ethical science that is better for animals and humans. Want to know what you can do to contribute to this? \n- Apply non-animal alternatives wherever possible<\/strong><\/li>\n
- Educate students and colleagues<\/strong>\u00a0about the benefits of non-animal models and how they can be applied in research. Interested in organising a lecture with us? Get in\u00a0touch<\/a>\u00a0with us!<\/li>\n
- Share your knowledge and resources<\/strong>\u00a0with other scientists involved in the development of alternative methods in order to promote progress.<\/li>\n
- Use databases<\/strong>\u00a0to see if there is an animal-free alternative you can use in your research; such as\u00a0FCS-free.org<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0NAT-database.org.<\/a><\/li>\n
- Join the Proefdiervrij Venture Challenge:<\/strong>\u00a0Do you have a good idea for a animal-free research model, but could use some help setting up your own company? During the Proefdiervrij Venture Challenge you will receive personal coaching and have a chance of winning a sum of money to further realise your impactful business.<\/li>\n
