About me
With a background in biology and a passion for animals, nature, and science, I work every day towards a world without animal testing. Driven by this passion, I see it as my mission to bring people together: I am convinced that there are always more similarities than differences between people.
I first pursued this mission as a science and innovation advisor at Proefdiervrij, and since 2017 as its director. In my role I empower my team and ensure that we, as an organization, make strides toward a future without animal testing.
By spreading knowledge about animal-free innovations and connecting people, I contribute to the transition towards a world without animal testing. One of the achievements I am most proud of is the successful establishment and execution of the Proefdiervrij Venture Challenge. Additionally, since 2018, I have been part of the core team for the Transition to Animal-Free Innovations (TPI), where I contribute to the shift towards animal-free research on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature, and Food Quality.
