From the lab to the industry
The Proefdiervrij Venture Challenge offers scientists the chance to translate their scientific breakthrough into a business plan. During a program packed with coaching and boot camps, participating teams are guided in developing a plan and learn the skills needed to set up and/or expand a business.
We also offer participants the chance to meet experts in the Life Sciences, investors and experienced entrepreneurs. Finally, one team has a chance to win a nice cash prize, with which they can build their startup.

Anniversary: Proefdiervrij Venture Challenge turns 5!
The Proefdiervrij Venture Challenge of 2025 is extra special for us: it is the 5th time that we are organizing this beautiful Challenge. That is why we will also look back on previous editions and the successes of former participants, such as Avatar Zoo and chiron, and interviews with partners with whom we have been working since the beginning of the Proefdiervrij Venture Challenge.

Scientists based in the Netherlands can participate in the Proefdiervrij Venture Challenge in teams of at least 3 and a maximum of 5 people.
